Warhammer 40k Inquisitor Martyr Story Mission Won t Continue
Prophecy DLC (Tech-Adept)
Welcome back for our last chapter in this walkthrough guide! We will be getting the final achievements in this game related to the new character, the tech-adept. We will also see the story missions continue in this DLC, where we will clash with the forces of Chaos and see the fate of the Alpha Pariah. If you have been following along with the guide, you will have completed the base game story missions and ready to jump into this DLC content. You do have the option at this point of starting up your tech-adept character and working towards all the achievements tied to them, while working towards the new story arc added with this DLC.
Prophecy: Gathering Storm & Prophecy: The Anathema Ultima
(Craftworld Aeldari, Uther's Secret, Infestation, Tyranid Menace, The Visceram Prophecy, The Savant, The Final Journey of the "Martyr")
Back at the bridge we will have new missions to undertake. Very similar to the main missions as before, these are very linear with one leading to another. Something to make note is that if you have not reached the end of the Puritan or Radical path for the achievement Tough Choices, you'll have more opportunities to make progress towards that. We did get this achievement while playing in the DLC, so keep this in mind as you play through. Stick to the same "side" as you did before, and you will unlock the following by the end of the play through.
- Tough Choices
You have reached the end of the Puritan or Radical axis on the Morality Chart.
With that in mind, here is all the achievements you'll earn while playing through the main missions. None of these can be missed. As long as you just continue on you'll get these story missions. Here is the order for those:
The first story related achievement we are going to get is The Primogenitor, which you'll get when you first encounter the plague warrior Flavious.
- The Primogenitor
You have survived the first encounter with Fabius Bile
Simply continue on in the missions to also achieve the following achievements in order.
- Gift of the Harlequin
You have seized the ancient prophecy about the Alpha Pariah
Then you'll have to make a Radical/Puritan decision in the chapters for a tech-priest, which leads to...
- There is No Truth in Flesh
You have judged the renegade Tech-Priest known as the "Savant"
Finally the last achievement will unlock once you decide the fate of the Alpha Pariah and turn in the mission on the bridge.
- Prophecy Fulfilled
You have closed the Dark Nexus and witnessed the fate of the Alpha Pariah
Tech-Adept Achievements
First thing to note is we have a character specific story achievement for the tech adept. That is...
- Secret Found and Lost
You have discovered the mysterious "Martyr" (Tech-Adept only)
Since this achievement is basically tied to the "intro" of the game, you can't miss this one as long as you continue along the main story. Now with that in mind, let's make our character and start off.
From the main menu, create a new character and chose the tech-adept followed by the Adept Skitarius as your sub-class. Set the difficulty to normal as well, as we will be going for an achievement in the first mission. If the game asks you to skip the tutorial level, do NOT. In the first mission we are going to get the following achievement, Cognis Protocol. Now to do this, you can only use the Tarantula turrets, which are assigned to your button by default. ONLY use the turrets in the mission, pressing any other button or firing your weapon will void the achievement. Run through the mission as directed, which is a very easy one to do. As long as you only used the turrets, by the end you will unlock this.
- Cognis Protocol
Completed a mission using only your Construct Turrets on your level or higher (Tech-Adept only)
One down! Now this starter mission can also be a great one for another achievement we are going to be getting over the course of the tech-adept play. That is Unmared Corpus, which is for playing a mission without getting hit by a melee attack. No doubt you'll get this over the course of playing if you keep your distance from melee strikers. Or if you run into trouble getting this, you can replay this starter mission with a new character, and it will count towards the achievement. Last, you can always play a low-rank mission once you have some levels under your belt, and knock this out as well.
- Unmarred Corpus
You have completed 5 missions without taking any Melee damage (Tech-Adept only)
Speaking of achievements that you'll be slowly working towards, let's also look at STC Specialist. This achievement requires you to summon a whopping 1,000 constructs. Odds are as you work on the other achievements connected to tech-adept, you'll get this one too. You should always be spamming out these summons when possible to add to this. But if you get through all the other achievements and still have this one, there is a superb guide from FleshMechanicCZ in the achievement as well. I won't copy and paste the entirety of the solution here, but the TL;DR version is you can use the Inoculator paired with as much Hydrazi as you can to boost summoning. Next equip Psiloi Vivisector into each of the available slot to boost as well. Load into a mission, pop your Inoculator, and then go to town summoning these up.
- STC Specialist
You have summoned 1000 Constructs (Tech-Adept only)
On to more achievements you'll be working towards while playing as the tech-adept. Once you hit level 28 , you will get access to the Kastelan Robot ability. Once you hit the level requirement, make sure to go into your abilities/construct station on the ship, and equip this for the next missions. Once done, you'll have the robot spawn as an "ally" with you in the mission. You'll then need to let it kill enemies in order to once again slowly grind towards a whopping 2,500 kills. Our recommendation is to work though this as much as you can while playing normally. But odds are with these high kill count achievements, you'll need to grind some as well. Best bet at that point is to load up some easy, low-rank missions and just let your robo buddy rack up the kills. Get that magic 2,500 number, and you'll unlock the following achievement:
- Master Datasmith
You have killed 2500 Enemies by your Kastelan Robots (Tech-Adept only)
As part of the above guide too, you'll also work towards the following achievement, Unyielding Legion. For this one, you'll need to complete 25 missions without losing a single construct. The game will also count your construct as dying if you die as well. If you have not completed this part of your normal playing, best strategy is to once again load up low-level missions where you a far above the level requirements. Your character will take less damage, and also dish out more damage, making this easy to complete as well. Once you finally knock out all 25 missions, you'll unlock the following:
- Unyielding Legion
You have completed 25 missions without loosing a single Construct (Tech-Adept only)
Last non-story related achievement we have to complete is one that you'll want to probably cheese as well. This is going be Knight of the Cog, which is rewarded when you kill 20 elite enemies on your level or higher. As you play through the story missions, there will be times where you hop into the Crimson Wanderer, a large mech, and go through missions killing enemies. During these, you'll find yourself killing elite enemies with ease due to the mech's sheer firepower. Many have reported the best method for this achievement is do these missions, and utilize the dashboard trick to replay the missions for the elite kills. Since going back to try and rack up these elite kills later could be a pain, best bet is to find one of these missions and replay it till you complete the following achievement:
- Knight of the Cog
You have killed 20 Elite enemies on your level or higher (Tech-Adept only)
